I have had this same coffee maker for at least ten years, if not eleven.
Every morning of the past decade, as I poured the water into the reservoir it would dribble, run down the front of the pot, and puddle on my countertop, even though the glass was molded with a pour spout…
I finally figured out why.
I’ve been gripping the handle too tightly when pouring… the angle of my arm and hand causing an unbalanced stream, uncentered with the molded pour spout.
How did I finally discover this?
By letting go.
By releasing control.
By observing.
If I stop trying to grip the coffee pot, and simply support it, letting it rest on my hand rather than in my hand, the weight of the water in the pot interacts with the gravity of this planet and naturally balances the pot, centering the flow in the spout, and pouring it all into my coffee maker instead of onto my countertop…
Ah dearest … you are always thinking your way into circles … and finding your way out with more than you thought was there …giving us food for thought too. I love you.
Awww!!!I love YOU, my Darling!Thank YOU for always supporting me, and PUSHING me farther! *mwah!*
