And so this is New Year's…. and what have we done?
Another year over… a new one's just begun…

I've been pondering where to even begin to reCap this Wild Thing we all agreed to call Two Thousand Ten.
One thing I know it was:
C H A N G E .

This was the tenth year of the 21st Century.
The tenth card of the Tarot deck is the Wheel of Fortune, which is… Change.
The turning of the Wheel.

2010 was a major turning point year for many many people, and I was no exception to escaping this energy:

Fears were presented, to be faced and owned…
Conditionings were exposed, to weed and cultivate authenticity…
Options were shown, to be examined and tested…
Choices were demanded, to set the course for the next chapter and verse…

Family and friends were lost to life and death…
Identities and roles shifted to new positions and paths…
Light and dark were shed in nearly every nook and cranny…

The birth of my daughter absolutely changed my world. People always tell you that it is the most amazing thing that will ever happen to you, and I thought I understood that… but there is a HUGE difference between knowing and realizing. What they never said was how humbling it is! These adorable tiny little people have the power to strike a grown man down in tears, and leave him baptized fresh— a massive blow to the ego wall. When you have a child of your own, it literally knocks you outside yourself, and your grip on all your little illusions and attachments can no longer stick to your tear-slick flesh… and your Heart truly melts… you see ALL things with new eyes— your own loved ones, and every being around you, from sticks and stones to humans and galaxies…

And then there was a marriage.
The marriage of Lloyd Matthew and Melissa Rae!
We make excuses and say things like, "Oh, marriage is just a piece of paper, recognized on Earth, yadda yadda yadda…" but when it came down to it, there was definitely a shift in our relationship once we actually married, Earth-legal. There is an energy around rituals, built up over aeons, that changes things, regardless of our individual feelings about them. Since that intimate ceremony, and that signing of the paper, our relationship has been stronger, clearer, deeper, more Loving, and unshakable…

And so what shall 2011 now bring?
The next Tarot card in line is Justice: Balance, Harmony, Equilibrium, Assuming Responsibility, Weighing All Sides, Choosing with Full Awareness.

Yes… this feels like the natural progression in the Journey.

Good-bye, 2010.
Well helloooo there, 2011!

Julia has certainly blessed our lives. She is indeed a beautiful soul that I am ever so greateful for …. A life changing star child for sure. And of course our marriage was another highlight of the year. Legally we are tied to this plane, so of course it would feel different. Spiritually we are tied to other planes, and that too felt different. I too am glad that we did. Love you.
