I am complete.

I am beyond beyond blessed to have had my dear Melissa come into my Life… show me truly unconditional Love… and grant me feelings of safety and security for the first time ever…

She is the dark haired, dark eyed woman I have dreamt and searched for all my life… my equal.. my Half… the One I have been with countless times…

And, despite all physical odds, has joyfully brought me the perfect and exact daughter I have also seen and longed for all my life!

I am eternally grateful I was granted the opportunity to experience the miracle of creating life myself… not from any mistake or momentary lapse of reason… but born of our Love and our loving each other… our Julia Renee: calm, sweet and adorable as the butterfly she is…

I love love LOVE I was allowed to participate and be a part of the entire pregnancy…every appointment… every step… to watch the amazing changes the body of my Lover instinctually just knew to do to prepare for bearing and birthing a child… the hardening of the belly as our girlchild quickly grew to fill her little house… the kicking within, responding to voice and touch… the personality developed even in the womb that played games with daddy, hide and seek followed by happy triumphant kicking when she won…

And the birth…

I was there for every second as Melissa dilated further open… I watched as her water broke and cleared the rest of the way… I was the one she told, “I feel like I need to push now!”… I saw our tiny JuJu’s head crowning at the surface, eager to get outside where she could stretch the long limbs she got from her daddy… I was overwhelming proud of my mate as she strained and got our daughter’s head completely out, the rest of her body quickly following as we both simultaneously laughed and cried in pure joy and utter relief at a safe and natural VBAC delivery…

And I was allowed to cut the umbilical cord…

But the greatest treasure of all for me was as they were cleaning Julia up and checking her out, she had not yet opened her eyes to this world… she began to get irritated and upset with all the poking and prodding… then, as I stood close over her, I called out, “Juuuulia…” just as I had while she was enwombed… “Daddy’s here!”… she immediately calmed and stilled… recognized my voice… and began to pry her baby eyes open… and as she finally did… they looked directly into my own… daddy’s… and she knew me… and I knew her… and I was the very first thing on this planet my daughter ever saw.

I will cherish that until the day I die. <3

Once Upon a Time there was a dark headed girl that believed one day her prince would come. She knew somewhere in the world her half was out there. Being aware of this, she scrutinized others to see and shook her head when they were not. Where was this beautiful man? Was he a mythical creature? Was it true he did not want her …. that he casted her away …. that he fell and ate his wings because she had been a poisoned half? The woman she grew into heard these allegations, but did not stop searching for him. One day, sitting in her living room, she drew cards that said he was close … aware of her ….. but not ready for her yet … but he would come. Yes. Soon. He would come and find her.So she waited. Patiently. He would come….And he did …Giving her gifts that only he can give…beyond measure. <3
